Frying Pans: Buying Guide

These are the main factors to examine before purchasing your frying pans.

🆎 Frying Pan Material & Nonstick Ability

Frying pans are made from different materials, including cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, ceramics, etc. Each material has its advantages over the other, and it all boils down to your personal preferences. Also, consider their nonstick coatings if you don't like your food sticking to the pan. If you're buying nonstick models, look out for the nonstick coating material to be sure it is devoid of the harmful chemicals like PFOA.

🍳 Size of the pan

Know which sizes you need in your kitchen and don't buy them unless they meet your other requirements. We recommend buying the two in one set to have different options to choose from.

🔥 Cooktop Compatibility

Cooktop compatibility is often overlooked but it poses a huge challenge. Imagine owning an induction cooktop and buying a frying pan or cookware set that isn't compatible with it - you've just wasted money. Therefore, it's important to know which cooktops the frying pan is compatible with before buying them.

💧 Dishwasher & Oven-Safe

If you like washing your cookware in the dishwasher, then it's pertinent to look out for dishwasher-safe labels on your chosen products. Also, take note of their oven-safe temperatures if you intend to use them in the oven.

🥘 Lid & Handles

Some frying pans are designed to be used without lids. Don't buy such expecting to find the lids in the market - bear in mind that lids aren't a must-have for your frying pans. On the other hand, having sturdy riveted and insulated handles are important. They make the pans friendly to the hands but make sure the insulation material can withstand oven-safe temperatures.

A handful of the frying pans above are nonstick. We encourage you to make your choice based on their features and your personal preferences,

Eggs and other types of food will stick to your frying pan if the pan isn't nonstick or has lost its nonstick coating.
